I am just joining and I am wondering if any of you have ever played Ars Magica. Arguably (sp?) the best magic system ever created in a RPG. Anyway it was just something to try and kick off a conversation.

Sat, February 7, 2004 - 4:43 PMA friend of mine tried to get an Ars Magica game going at one time, but it never got off the ground. We never got to see the magic system. I remember something about 3 different character classes. There was the wizard, and two henchman classes.
Phill I would love to know more about the system.

Mon, July 18, 2005 - 8:56 AMI think I recall a brief attempt at a campaign. The magician characters took almost a full evening to make, and far longer to deal with than most of our players wanted. This may have been around their first edition, though. Is it better now?
