They're struggling to recover, not necessarily dead yet. We're going to their open house tomorrow. :) Is anyone else going?

Man, if this weekend meant anything, Palladium will be allright. I think I dropped the least amount of cash there after having spent $140. *blinks* They were announcing one peice of art alone went for $800 at one of the silent auctions. There was a guy from AUSTRALIA who came for it. *blinks* I think it might have been the guy who wrote Australia, but he came on his own dime as I understand it just to be there. I could be wrong about it being the author, it was hard to separate fact from rumor in all the craziness.

I just heard about this situation. Is it still bad? I've never played a Palladium game, but If I weren't completely broke I'd buy one right now.

I don't know, I haven't kept a close eye ont he situation, but I know they made a hella of a lot of money at the open house and that some sort of settlement was being reached with the embezzler? I'm not sure about the settlement though.

They are doing better, but not out of the woods yet. The fans are basically making the initial save. Buy a book if you are a Palladium fan. You'll be helping them survive.

I can't honestly say I'm a fan, 'cause I've never played their games. Being a gaming geek, however, I am of course aware of Rifts. The situation makes me sad, and I'm tempted to chip in anyway. Problme is I have no money.

I play Rifts, and I like it, but it has a LOT of flaws. It is one of the most unbalanced games out there. There's not a lot of bulit in checks and balances. But on the other hand, if you're not a gaming purist where everything has to be balanced neatly, then it's a great game because you can go absolutely crazy with it. The flaws don't kill the playability, I just prefer to admit that rather than say hey it's this wonderful uber system and you'll never play anything else, ya know?

It's kind of like every anime ever seen all mashed up into one world. It's a WONDERFUL game system for anime lovers, becuase it will neatly adapt to any given anime world or mash several into one. But it's not designed to be an anime game, that's just a side benefit. Alhtought I honestly believe Sembieda has to be a huge fan of both history and anime, both heavily influence the game. Just think Nazi's with mechs and substitutate anything not human or magic using for the Jewish and you have the Coalition. :)
