Got game?

GM seeks seasoned players for a "moderately multiplayer offline roleplaying game" in Berkeley on alternate Sundays, barring the occasional vacation or emergency appendectomy.

The setting: 50 Fathoms (islands, merchants and magic in an age of piracy)
The system: Savage Worlds (fast, furious, fun)
The style: Adventure, mystery, action (corrupt politicians, desperate pirates, tricky situations)

Prospective players should be able to make room in their lives for a year-long campaign. Dedication, characterization, improvisation and maybe some claymation (?) is what I'd like to aim for here--we have to distinguish ourselves from online gaming somehow... Send e-mail if interested. No talking parrots, please.

    Siguson,

I ask you to put in the Subject line (next time) --
    game, location, and day/time

bc this makes this site work much better.

Your game sounds pretty interesting. What time on Sundays are you thinking?

I don't know the system, but I prefer 'rules-light' gaming where your brain is more important than die-rolling your way thru hordes of NPC fodder.

    PEACE

    Ari

Yeah, I noticed my faux pas a little too late. How can I correct or delete one of my posts? The title should have been something like this:

50 Fathoms, Berkeley, Sundays noon to 5

We'll probably start this weekend or next weekend. More about 50 Fathoms can be found at www.peginc.com

If D&D is like a glaive-guisarme-bel-biv-devoe-bec-de-corbin, then 50 Fathoms is like a swiss army knife. There are about 100 mini-scenarios written into the back of the game book itself that form the backbone of a campaign with an overarching character-driven story and many sub-plots. I'll be adding my own stuff to this and looking for input from the characters themselves.

        Siguson,

How can you correct this? I'm pretty sure all you can do is repost w/the correct title. I can delete your thread if you'd like.

Game sounds interesting! Unfortunately I've been travelling A LOT for work. Might be able to play this coming weekend (March 3-4) possibly. Let me know?

I'll send you my contact info in a message.

        PEACE!

        Ari

I just got two new members in my 5.5 year long group -- thusly, I'm doing quite well in my humble opinion...
