Any Traveller players- N. SFBay Area or Sacto area?

I would like to get back to playing again. I am not good at running games, but have been playing Traveller since the "little black books" era. Prefer North Bay counties or Sacramento north to Chico area (I live in Lake co.).

  • Which is(are?) your preferred version(s)? Me, I've only played the little black books in any depth; one or two games of one or two other versions.

You open to any other (non-Traveller) RPG's? Which others have you tried? Liked/disliked? Any you haven't tried but would like to?

You're looking at quite a (potential) commute, there: Lake Co to... Marin? Sonoma?

We're out in W. Sonoma county; about 20 minutes upriver from Jenner (which is at the mouth of the Russian). Problem is, we usually go 'til midnight, and often later... The other problem is that my wife is deep in her thesis-research, and so we don't often have *time* to game... :-/

    • Traveller versions- several, including GURPS. I have inherited my late husband's large collection of Traveller rule and source books. I have played AD&D, and several other RPGs years ago. I like games with more role playing and less dice rolling.

As to commute, it isn't too much of a problem as long as I can afford the gas. The current group I am in meets in the East Bay, another member of the group lives in Modesto so we meet in the middle.
